Five years ago, Ben bought me a domain name for my birthday so I could start a blog, which I duly did, and loved the challenge of posting regularly. Needless to say I had much more time to spare five years ago than I do now, and Tea with a Friend has been shamefully neglected in recent months (since the 2010 Labour leadership election, in fact). I have been abundantly blessed with a three-year-old (who doesn't sleep during the day) and a baby (who giggles his way through each evening and doesn't like to be put down), and free time is something of a scarcity. I love to think, write and talk, and hope to be able to snatch occasional free time in the evenings in order to get back to blogging as regularly as I can manage.
Please don't feel obliged to read my thoughts, as I can't guarantee to say anything interesting, though I'll try! I'm linking to Facebook simply because I believe it is helpful to share and to pass things on, and if I've read, heard, eaten, seen or bought something that you might enjoy, I'd like to let you know about it. I love receiving recommendations from others too!
If my blog isn't your cup of tea, that's fine; each to their own. And if you are still reading, thank you. I'm delighted that you would spend the time to do so, and hope that soon we can have a real conversation!
