unorthodox storage

I have disproportionately small feet for my height, which caused my very witty and observant friend Nick to announce twenty years ago that I resembled a golf putter. (In fairness, I used to be a real beanpole, so the comparison was not inaccurate.) It also means that I am eligible to purchase children's shoes, and I was delighted to discover a pair of polka-dotted wellies on sale in Sainsbury's a couple of years ago. They've lasted well but have recently and regrettably split, and Superglue has not rectified the situation.

Since discovering I Heart Organizing, I've been on the lookout for new storage solutions around the house and have set myself the challenge of cleaning out one drawer / cupboard per day. Today the larder found itself at the top of the priority list, and I unearthed several dozen plastic bags during the afternoon. The majority of them will be handed over to the Asda delivery gentleman this evening for recycling, but as the household groceries will arrive encased in several more carriers, I need somewhere to store them before the next opportunity for disposal presents itself. I'm loath to throw away my pretty wellies, useless though they now are in the event of inclement weather, so they've been given a new and thrift-conscious role inside the larder: namely, an attractive pair of plastic bag storers. Et voilĂ !
